Well, I've had tons of fun running this blog for the past year, so time permitting, I'm going to keep this going next year. I've thought about what I'm going to do for 2012, what will be better to in what month, and I've noticed a few things:
-My retrospective and 6 Things videos take less time to make then my regular reviews so I might wind up making more of those, but this time in between reviews.
-The video quality in my later videos is vastly superior to my earlier work, but then again, I was new to making videos and didn't know much about it. Now that I can see the difference, I'm aiming for a new camera, hopefully HD, to have the reviews in even better quality.
-Next year, I'm going to introduce two new segments on the show:
Down Home Wisdom--covering cult films that have come out after December 31, 2010, though this might wind up covering films where I can't think of anything funny to say.
What Are They On?--modeled after Bevis and Butthead, I'm going to take videos produced by artists I don't like (Lady Gaga, in particular) and riff them.
-Let's not forget: my theme song video will come out soon, which all reviews from this point forward will have. I'll also come out with redux versions of my first few reviews, which will include a fixed version of The Ninth Configuration.
So without further ado, here's my list for next year:
January-Return of the Killer Tomatoes
February-Bad Taste
March-Tribute to the Green Hornet
Retrospective on the Razzie Awards
April-Real Genius
May-6 Things I Never Liked about Wall Street
June-Very Bad Things (since one of my best buds is getting married the next month)
July-Are You Being Served? The Movie
August-Mannequin
September-Youth in Revolt
October-Angel Heart
Why I Hate the Exorcist
November-My 12 Favorite Films (since I turn 30 this year)
December-Christmas Review 2 (either It's a Wonderful Life or Gremlins; haven't decided yet)
In between reviews, here are my films for Down Home Wisdom:
-For April--Atlas Shrugged, Part 1
-Creature (don't know when I'll do this)
-The Way
And more to come.
As for What Are They On?
Stay tuned.
