Plan for Next Year
Well, I've had tons of fun running this blog for the past year, so time permitting, I'm going to keep this going next year. I've thought about what I'm going to do for 2012, what will be better to in what month, and I've noticed a few things:
-My retrospective and 6 Things videos take less time to make then my regular reviews so I might wind up making more of those, but this time in between reviews.
-The video quality in my later videos is vastly superior to my earlier work, but then again, I was new to making videos and didn't know much about it. Now that I can see the difference, I'm aiming for a new camera, hopefully HD, to have the reviews in even better quality.
-Next year, I'm going to introduce two new segments on the show:
Down Home Wisdom--covering cult films that have come out after December 31, 2010, though this might wind up covering films where I can't think of anything funny to say.
What Are They On?--modeled after Bevis and Butthead, I'm going to take videos produced by artists I don't like (Lady Gaga, in particular) and riff them.
-Let's not forget: my theme song video will come out soon, which all reviews from this point forward will have. I'll also come out with redux versions of my first few reviews, which will include a fixed version of The Ninth Configuration.

News Update
Howdy, ya'll!
I have not posted on here for some time, so there are a few things I need to get out of the way.
1. I know I promised a Peter Jackson month, but I haven't been able to produce videos any faster. That combined with the fact I have a co-worker out on leave means I won't be able to get to them until next year.
2. I've been having a lot of fun making these reviews, but I will need more people to spread the word about this site (some more Twitter followers would be nice as well).
3. Because of point 1, I have to revise the schedule a bit, which is again subject to change, so here's the new schedule:

Updates and News
For those first few followers of mine, I apologize for not having any new material up for some time. I've been really sick and then I got busy with my regular job, but with summer coming, I have some more time to work on them. With that in mind, three points need to be made.
1. New material is coming. I've found a way to get them done faster so the next "official" review should be up by early June. The list posted still stands.
2. I say "official" because there is another video I worked on about a subject dear to me. It's not a review but I think you'll like what it's about all the same.
3. In my upcoming review list, I mentioned that I was planning a Peter Jackson month but didn't have the details yet. After consideration, I've decided which movies to review and here they are:
-Bad Taste
-Dead Alive (this one might get controversial)
-Heavenly Creatures
-The Lovely Bones
Granted, I wanted (really, really) wanted to do Meet the Feebles, but my rule is the film has to be on dvd and while Feebles is on DVD, I can't find a copy of it.
So there you have it: Stay tuned and I think you'll be happy with what comes out.

Introduction: Expansion
I am posting this because I realize I left a few key things out from my actual introduction video, so let me clarify a few things:
1. As of this posting, I don't have a regular schedule for when the reviews will actually be up. I have a few things in my life I need to take care of, but when i post a date for a review either on here or my twitter account, you better believe it will be up when I say it will.
2. Because of my erratic schedule, the lighting might not match up in the whole review. I'm still working on that though.
3. I also didn't clarify what I would not consider a movie worthy of a review here, so let me make it clear here and now.
I do take requests for films, but the film in question must have either:
-rave reviews but low sales
-high sales but bad reviews
-be so bad it has a charm all its own
But no matter what category it falls under, it must have a devoted following somewhere, either in America, in another country, in certain demographics (college students, Baby Boomers, tech dorks, etc)or with certain genders (but no chick flicks!!!!)
However, I will not review any movie that has any of the following traits:
-the film can better be categorized as exploitation
-the film has a rating other than G, PG, PG-13 or R
-the film cannot be rented or bought in the U.S.
-the film won an Academy Award (unless the win was a minor award like best sound, editing, costume, cinematography, etc)
-the film is not available on DVD
-the film violates the terms of blip.tv
Other than these, feel free to suggest any film you'd like, but as I said, I can't promise when I will get to it.
